Opportunities to Educate Children

Who We Are:
Opportunities to Educate Children (OEC) is a non-profit student organization based out of the University of Michigan. OEC supports and coordinates the placement of tutors/mentors from the university in various local organizations to promote educational development. These projects are designed so that they will have a direct and immediate impact on the local community. OEC organizes year-round opportunities for involvement that includes but not limited to tutoring, performing organizational duties, coordination with other organization and businesses, fundraising, and networking events.

Our Mission:
OEC strives to provide educational empowerment, and support social change through its available means as a non-profit. Also, as a student organization OEC aims to create meaningful experiences, cultural understanding, and lifelong memories for its members.

Our Vision:
That no child in Washtenaw County is without access to education and opportunities for success.
