Opportunities to Educate Children

OEC’s tutoring status system represents an opportunity for tutors to showcase their commitment to our mission, and your status is something taken under consideration during board applications and site placements. The three statuses and their minimum requirements are as follows:

 

OEC Educator

● Consistently attends tutoring sessions with a maximum of 3 excused absences* per semester

● Attends at least 1 learning session per semester

● Attends at least 2 monthly meetings per semester

● Shares at least 2 social media posts involving OEC recruitment and/or fundraising per semester (note: WN22 requirement was at least 1 social media post)

OEC Tutor

● Consistently attends tutoring sessions with a maximum of 3 excused absences* per

semester

● Attends at least 1 learning session per semester

● Attends a minimum of 1 monthly meeting per semester

● Shares at least 1 social media post involving OEC recruitment and/or fundraising per semester

Active Tutor

● Consistently attends tutoring sessions with a maximum of 3 excused absences* per

semester

● Attends at least 1 learning session per semester
